Newly Promoted Officer Program (NPO)
The Alamo Area Fire Chiefs Association (AAFCA) is proud to present the NPO Academy — a premier leadership development program designed to elevate the future leaders of the fire service across the Alamo Area.
This academy offers advanced-level training focused on command presence, leadership, professional growth, and operational excellence — both on and off the fire ground. Participants will benefit from a dynamic combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, delivered by seasoned command-level officers currently serving in key leadership roles throughout the region.
Upon successful completion, graduates will be awarded the official NPO designation, along with an exclusive certificate and challenge coin, presented during a formal graduation ceremony in recognition of their commitment and achievement.

The AAFCA invites fire chiefs and command staff to nominate personnel who demonstrate the drive, integrity, and leadership potential to benefit from this transformational experience. Space is limited — we encourage departments to apply early and help identify the next generation of fire service leaders.
